MILES J. STERNFELD

Producing Artistic Director

Miles J. Sternfeld is a director, producer, and leader in arts education. Miles is the Founding Artistic Director of New City Music Theatre (formerly Cleveland Musical Theatre) and the CEO/Founder of WERK WITH BWAY, an intensive musical theatre training program for emerging artists in New York City.

 

Most recently, Miles directed the star-studded concert of Into The Woods at Town Hall starring Tony Award Winner Alice Ripley and Tony Yazbeck. With NCMT, he spearheaded the redevelopment of Paul Gordon & John Caird's Tony nominated musical Jane Eyre into the new chamber version and helped develop award-winning writing team Douglas Lyons & Melvin Tunstall III's new musical, Pete(HER)Pan. Other directing credits include 13 the Musical, Aida, and The Who's Tommy.

 

As an educator, Miles has created educational opportunities for students around the world, training in audition preparation with Tony award-winning artists and college audition preparation with college musical theatre programs from around the country. With WERK WITH BWAY, he has presented over 25 weeklong educational intensives for students of all ages and worked with students on expanding their audition rep.

 

Miles is a proud member of SDC and an alumnus of Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts and Fordham University at Lincoln Center.

ALEXANDER TOM

Director of EDUCATION

A participant in artEquity’s inaugural BIPOC leadership circle, Alexander is the Associate Program Head for BFA Musical Theater at Pace University and the Director of Education for New City Music Theatre. He holds his MM from Shenandoah Conservatory in conducting and an honors BMUS from Arizona State University in composition.

A current composer with the BMI Lehman Engel Music Theatre Workshop, Alexander is credited for vocal and dance arrangements for the off-Broadway premiere of Love & Yogurt (New York Theatre Barn & Out of the Box Theatrics) and orchestrations for Little Match Girl (St. Luke’s). He has pioneered new works with Pace University, Arizona State University, Shenandoah Conservatory, North Central College, and Phoenix Theatre. Additional appointments include Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, Creede Repertory Theatre, Arizona Broadway Theatre, Southeastern Summer Theatre Intensive, Werk with Broadway, Interlakes Summer Theater, and Chicago Musical Theatre Festival.

Tour: 10th Anniversary National Tour of “Grinch.” Regional: Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, La Cage aux Folles, Ragtime. Academic: Shaina Tuab’s Twelfth Night, Lysistrata Jones, Spring Awakening, Sweeney Todd, and Guys & Dolls. Musicals: Of Leto (2015), Til Death (2018), and Pan Jin Lian (BMI Development)

GABBI MACK

Director of EDUCATION OPERATIONS

Gabriella Mack is an award-winning performer, performing arts educator, coach and choreographer with over a decade of experience. She has worked with many organizations across the USA including The Town Hall,  Inside Broadway, C.L.I.M.B. Theatre  and the Tony Award winning, Rosie's Theater Kids, collaborating with groups of all ages, group sizes and artistic disciplines!
